This pretty book is illustrated with photographs of the Italian countryside, markets, and gardens, by Manfredi Bellati.

(Chronicle Books, fall 2000) is the cold weather sequel to THE NANTUCKET TABLE . There are recipes that are perfect for Island (or anywhere) celebrations of Thanksgiving, Chanukah, Christmas, New Year’s Eve and Day, and a special Twelfth Night dessert. There’s even a chapter devoted to food as gifts. Once again, sidebars enhance the book with anecdotal information about Nantucket’s history, myths, and flora and fauna.
